For about a year I have wanted to do this shoot. After proposing the idea to Savannah from Savanna Belsher-MacLean Makeup Artist we set to work planning it. Savannah found some stunning models (Jesse, Tamara, Genny, Courtney and Amy) from Panache Models who were up for it. Our first attempt was cancelled due to poor weather and the second time didn’t have the greatest weather for driving either, but they all braved the roads and came out for it anyway. Here is just a sneak peak of whats to come. Thanks to all the ladies and gentleman for all the talent and beauty they brought to the shoot. I really enjoyed working with all of you!

Recently I entered into the PPOCA Competition. Our class at Holland College did fantastic. What is so exciting about this competition is that students and professionals are competing against each other. I received 2 merits, one for each of my portraits and my teacup editorial was accepted. I am still waiting to hear how my two food images did though. In the end I was one of the 4 people nominated for Student Photographer of the year. I am very excited for my fellow classmate Adi Saciragic who took home the award. All in all it was fun, a little stressful, but fun to enter. I am excited to enter into the national competition in April.

It was an emotional, exciting, and inspiring day! There were so many great people out to support such a wonderful cause. One lady was such an inspiration for me (That’s her in front). She is in her 70′s and just started swimming last year. If she can do it surely I can! There are a few pictures of the event on my events page. If you love to swim I would encourage you to join in next year.

I have had the opportunity to photograph the students of the Dance Stars Academy in Stratford last year but this year we began by photographing Maria and her two new instructors, Olga and Rosa. What a fun group of ladies and so beautiful to photograph too!
