I have loved to take pictures since I was a young girl. I didn’t’ realize right away though that I should pursue it as a career. After high school I moved to Alberta from Saskatchewan to work and later went to college and received my diploma in Criminology, got married and stayed home to raise our two children. It has been watching our children grow that I realized how precious these moments are and how much I loved capturing these moments with photography. So naturally I started out photographing our family and the beauty around us.
As my experience grew, the more and more I wanted to learn. I began reading anything on the subject and started to photograph friends and their families. When my husband and I with our 2 children moved to Stratford, PEI in 2008 I became quite interested in the idea of applying for the Photography and Digital Imaging program at Holland College. I began by taking photography night courses at the college and have had opportunities to develop more experience with portrait and event photography. In September 2010 I became privileged to begin the photography program.
My initial interest of portrait photography still holds strong. However, I am now interested in building more experience in event, product, editorial, property, and fashion photography and would love to talk to you about any opportunities or needs you, your family or your company may have.
